On a Sunday evening in September 2018, a dispute on a Brooklyn street turned fatal, claiming the life of 27-year-old Kareem Summerville. The male victim was involved in an altercation with two other men on Clarendon Road in the Flatbush neighborhood when the argument escalated dramatically. One of the men pulled out a firearm and shot Summerville in the abdomen before fleeing the scene with the other suspect.
The sound of the gunshot and subsequent screams prompted a witness to call 911.
