On May 29, 2023, at approximately 2:00 a.m., 41-year-old Kimanhi "Troy" Boyd Hinds was fatally shot inside the Flour City Station bar on East Avenue in Rochester, New York. The incident occurred during a confrontation involving Hinds and a woman, which escalated when an uninvolved patron, later identified as 36-year-old Randy Burney, approached and shot Hinds at point-blank range.
