On the evening of July 11, 2023, 40-year-old Sayyos Rios was fatally shot while sitting on his front porch at the intersection of North Union and Weld Streets in Rochester, New York. The gunfire originated from a passing stolen vehicle targeting a 19-year-old man standing nearby.
