In the early hours of a spring Saturday, the life of 26-year-old Trez Sloan, a Black male, was cut short by gunfire in Rochester, New York. On March 21, 2020, police responded to reports of a shooting on Roycroft Drive. Upon arrival, they found Sloan with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body.
