In the late hours of a Friday night in Rochester, New York, a knock on a door on Gilmore Street set in motion a tragic chain of events. On September 1, 2023, 51-year-old J B Blackburn was inside the residence when he responded to the sound. An altercation broke out on the doorstep, and in the ensuing struggle, Blackburn was shot.
