In the late evening hours of September 6, 2023, the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn was unsettled by an act of deadly violence. On a stretch of East 39th Street, a 42-year-old man named Gotty Jeanty was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. Police were called to the scene at approximately 10:00 PM, where they found Jeanty near his home.
