On September 6, 2023, at approximately 10:25 p.m., 42-year-old Gotty Jeanty was fatally shot in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man shot in front of 283 East 39th Street. Upon arrival, they found Jeanty with multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene.
