On January 30, 2024, at approximately 2 a.m., 21-year-old Brandon Nichols was found with a gunshot wound to his torso in the basement of an apartment building located at 1677 President Street near Utica Avenue in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Emergency responders transported Nichols to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.
