In the summer of 2014, a violent encounter on a Brooklyn street set in motion a chain of events that would ultimately lead to the death of 38-year-old Leandre Hart. On the night of August 10th, Hart was shot, sustaining two gunshot wounds to his leg. The incident occurred at 2519 Atlantic Avenue, though he was initially found in front of 1508 Herkimer Street.
