Death by Force

On June 20, 2024, at approximately 10 p.m., 52-year-old rideshare driver Naveed Afzal was fatally shot in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. While seated in his black Mercedes-Benz SUV on Lincoln Place, two unidentified men entered the vehicle, one of whom shot Afzal in the face. The assailants fled the scene on foot, leaving behind a .380-caliber handgun in the vehicle.
