On March 11, 2023, at approximately 1:45 p.m., a shooting occurred inside a basement apartment at 491 East 45th Street in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Upon arrival, police discovered 39-year-old Emmanuel Soray with a fatal gunshot wound to the face. A 27-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound to her torso and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
