In the summer of 2024, a Venezuelan immigrant named Arturo Jose Rodriguez-Marcano, a 30-year-old male, was seeking refuge in Brooklyn, New York. For about two months, Steuben Playground had become his makeshift home, a space he shared with other migrants. This situation, however, led to a fatal encounter with a temporary city parks employee.
