On September 10, 2024, at approximately 11:04 p.m., 35-year-old Juan Lluverez was fatally shot outside Speed Racer Imports, a moped and scooter dealership located at 6 East Burnside Avenue in the Bronx. Witnesses reported that a masked assailant, riding a Citi Bike, approached Lluverez and fired multiple shots, striking him in the abdomen and leg. Emergency medical services transported Lluverez to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
