On January 8, 2023, Tanisha Williams, 35, was fatally shot outside her residence in Kansas City, Missouri. Her cousin, Charles Martin, 46, was also killed in the same incident. The shootings occurred in the early morning hours while Williams' teenage children were inside the home.
