In the late hours of a Monday evening in Kansas City, Missouri, the life of 24-year-old Marcus Bewley-Perez, a male, was irrevocably altered. On February 20, 2023, police responded to reports of a shooting near US 71 Highway and Red Bridge Road. Arriving at the scene, they discovered a two-car crash. Inside one of the vehicles was Bewley-Perez, suffering from a critical gunshot wound.
