On February 20, 2023, at approximately 10:45 p.m., 24-year-old Marcus Bewley-Perez was discovered with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle that had crashed near northbound U.S. Highway 71 and Red Bridge Road in Kansas City, Missouri. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital in critical condition.
