Thomas A. Orr III, a 30-year-old off-duty police officer from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, tragically lost his life on August 20, 2017. Orr was attending a day party at Californos restaurant in the Westport area of Kansas City when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred during a disturbance at the party, where Orr was an innocent bystander and not the intended target.
