On May 21, 2023, 24-year-old Antoinette Brenson was among three individuals fatally shot at the Klymax Lounge nightclub, located at 4244 Indiana Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred around 1:25 a.m., resulting in the deaths of Brenson, 41-year-old Jason McConnell, and 33-year-old Clarence Henderson. Two other individuals sustained injuries during the shooting and were hospitalized in critical condition.
