Investigations into the shooting revealed that the violence was a targeted attack, with Clarence Henderson being the primary person of interest for the assailants. Surveillance footage captured multiple suspects, one of whom was seen waiting outside the lounge with a firearm, opening fire as patrons began to leave the establishment. The shooters fled the scene in a silver Chevrolet Impala.
On July 7, 2023, a significant development in the case occurred when authorities arrested and charged 36-year-old Isiah D. Clinton in connection with the deadly shooting. He faces three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and five counts of armed criminal action. At the time of the incident, Clinton was on probation for a federal weapons violation. Investigators were able to link him to the crime through surveillance footage and forensic evidence. While Clinton's arrest brought some measure of progress, law enforcement has indicated that the investigation remains ongoing, as they believe other shooters were involved.
