On May 31, 2023, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Kansas City, Missouri, police officers responded to reports of gunfire near NW 63rd Terrace and NW Westwood Lane in the Northland area. Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle that had collided with a light pole. Inside, 34-year-old Justin Wayne Barstow was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
