On June 23, 2023, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Kansas City, Missouri, police officers responded to a report of a person down near East 41st Street and Benton Boulevard. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Keith Rodgers lying unresponsive on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
