On the early morning of January 28, 2021, a violent incident unfolded at an apartment complex in the Northland area of Kansas City, Missouri. Around 12:30 a.m., local law enforcement officers were dispatched to the Kinsley Forest Luxury Apartments, located near the intersection of Northeast 54th Street and North Summit Street. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders discovered a victim lying outside one of the apartment buildings, suffering from apparent trauma. Authorities identified the individual as Shi’on Kendall-Hodge, a 20-year-old Black male, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
