In the pre-dawn hours of a Monday in Kansas City, Missouri, the life of Stephen Carvel Carter Jr., a 31-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On August 21, 2023, just before 1:30 a.m., police were called to the parking lot of the Handy Coin Laundry on Eastwood Trafficway following reports of a shooting. There, they found Carter suffering from gunshot wounds.
