On September 18, 2023, 30-year-old Matthew White was fatally shot during an altercation in a residence near East 39th Street and South Benton Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident began with an argument between White and his cousin, Eric Morrow, which escalated when Morrow produced a firearm and shot White.
