On November 28, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Kansas City police responded to reports of gunfire near 19th Street and Park Tower Drive. Upon entering an apartment at that location, officers discovered 45-year-old Calvin L. Boyles suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
