On the evening of November 24, 2015, a violent altercation erupted at a tire shop located in the 8100 block of Hickman Mills Drive in south Kansas City, Missouri. The incident resulted in the death of 42-year-old Robert Lewis, a male resident of the city. Authorities were dispatched to the scene following reports of a shooting inside the business, where they discovered Lewis suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
Despite the arrival of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the location.
The investigation conducted by Kansas City police detectives revealed that the shooting stemmed from a dispute between Lewis, who was a customer at the shop, and another individual present at the scene. Witnesses and investigators determined that the argument escalated rapidly, leading to a confrontation where both Lewis and the other person brandished firearms. Amidst the tense exchange, shots were fired, striking Lewis and ending the encounter with lethal consequences.
