On March 4, 2023, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Kansas City police responded to reports of gunshots near the 8000 block of Euclid Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found 60-year-old Glen A. Vassie at the rear of a residence, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency responders initiated life-saving measures before transporting him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
