On December 23, 2023, 30-year-old Black male Ahmad Guerin lost his life following a violent encounter in University City, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. The incident unfolded at a Circle K gas station located in the 7400 block of Olive Boulevard, where Guerin had arranged to meet with individuals, reportedly in connection with a transaction involving a firearm.
