In the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood of Saint-Louis, Missouri, a Sunday afternoon was shattered by gunfire, leaving a beloved member of the community dead. Walter Thomas, a 66-year-old man, was enjoying the day on his porch on May 15, 2022, when a street fight erupted in the 5700 block of Roosevelt Place. The altercation escalated to an exchange of gunfire, and in a tragic turn of events, a stray bullet struck Mr. Thomas.
