On December 27, 2023, 36-year-old Nicole Coleman was fatally shot in Velda City, Missouri. The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. in the 7000 block of Lexington Avenue. Responding officers from the St. Louis County Police Department found Coleman deceased at the scene.
