On the evening of June 5, 2024, 34-year-old Corey Towns was fatally shot in Providence, Rhode Island. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Harvard Avenue, where Towns and 48-year-old Cesar Mason were seated on a park bench, reportedly engaged in a card game. An unidentified assailant approached and opened fire, striking both men.
