On the evening of June 5, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace on Harvard Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island, leaving one man dead and another critically injured. Corey Towns, a 34-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot while sitting on a park bench with another man. The incident occurred at approximately 10 p.m.
