On October 13, 2020, 19-year-old Deshaun Duré was fatally shot in Providence, Rhode Island. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Rhode Island School for the Deaf, located in the Wanskuck neighborhood. Duré was seated in a white SUV with three other individuals when multiple gunshots were fired at the vehicle. He sustained critical injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that evening.
