In the early morning hours of Friday, March 22, 2024, a sense of unease settled over the Foxtown East neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri. The day was just beginning when the sound of gunfire shattered the morning quiet near the intersection of East 67th Street and Cleveland Avenue, on the fringe of Swope Park.
