On April 21, 2024, at approximately 8:45 p.m., St. Louis Metropolitan Police officers responded to a call in the 6300 block of Windham Avenue, located in the city's Mark Twain I-70 Industrial neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 53-year-old Demetrius Marvell Bush Sr. inside a vehicle, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Mr. Bush, a resident of the 1100 block of Riverview Boulevard, was pronounced dead at the scene.
