In the late morning hours of a February day, a violent altercation in a north St. Louis County parking lot ended the life of 39-year-old Johnny Bond Jr. The incident, which unfolded just after 11 a.m. on February 26, 2022, in the Spanish Lake area, escalated from a dispute into a gunfight between two men. When St. Louis County police responded to the reports of a shooting in the 11000 block of Bellefontaine Road, they found a chaotic scene.
