On May 18, 2024, 22-year-old K’yiel Collins-Phillips was fatally shot in Kansas City, Missouri. Police responded to reports of a recovered stolen vehicle near the 3400 block of Wyoming Avenue around 1:50 p.m., which escalated to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, officers found Collins-Phillips with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
