On June 16, 2023, at approximately 8 p.m., Kansas City, Missouri, police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 block of Askew Avenue. Upon arrival, they found 39-year-old Darryl G. Brown suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
