On June 6, 2024, 15-year-old David Racey was fatally shot in a residence near 32nd and Bellefontaine in Kansas City, Missouri. Police responded to reports of gunfire around 1 a.m. and discovered Racey and 33-year-old Ralph Miller deceased at the scene, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Two other individuals—a woman and a juvenile boy—were also injured in the shooting and transported to a nearby hospital; they were expected to recover.
