Jerry Gibson, a 79-year-old owner of River Records in Memphis, Tennessee, was tragically killed during a robbery at his record store on December 8, 2016. Gibson was well known in the local music community and had owned the store for decades. The incident occurred around closing time, and police indicated that the motive appeared to be robbery.
