A 14-year-old boy is shot in his sleep In the early morning hours of September 8, 2014, in Memphis, Tennessee, a 14-year-old African-American male named Ricardo Taylor was tragically killed while sleeping in his bed. The young boy, who was looking forward to starting another day of school, became the unintended victim of a violent act. Multiple gunshots were fired into his family's brick duplex on the 6000 block of Quince Road. Two of these bullets penetrated the walls of his bedroom and struck him in the neck.
