On September 30, 2017, 15-year-old Keiangelo Wright was shot and killed in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a student at Booker T. Washington High School and was known for his playful and outspoken nature. The incident occurred in the Kerr area, and 40-year-old Demarcus Moss was identified as the suspect in the fatal shooting. Moss was wanted by police but remained at large for some time after the incident. Keiangelo's death added to the heartbreaking toll of youth lost to gun violence in Memphis.
