In the early evening of Thursday, November 21, 2013, the sound of gunshots shattered the peace at 4509 Charing Cross in Memphis, Tennessee. When police officers arrived at the scene around 5:45 p.m., they found a young Black or African American man suffering from gunshot wounds.
