In the summer of 2015, a violent encounter in a Hickory Hill apartment complex stairwell tragically cut short the life of 44-year-old Charles Reliford. On the evening of June 27th, Memphis police were called to the 6500 block of Greenwood off Mt. Moriah Road and Kirby Parkway, where they discovered a bloody Reliford suffering from a gunshot wound. Though conscious when officers arrived, he would succumb to his injuries two days later at the Regional Medical Center on June 29, 2015.
