Damein Vaughn Hawkins Sr., a 52-year-old resident of Memphis, Tennessee, tragically lost his life on Sunday, March 17, 2024. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. in front of the Jerry Lee Lewis Café on Beale Street, a popular entertainment district in Memphis. Hawkins was shot during what witnesses described as an altercation that began over a spilled drink.
