On June 16, 2024, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Kansas City, Missouri, police officers near 39th Street and Broadway Boulevard responded to gunshots. Upon arrival, they discovered 29-year-old Deshaun McKinzey in the parking lot of a closed business, suffering from severe gunshot wounds.
