In the winter of 2022, a Kansas City, Missouri community was struck by a violent crime that left a family grieving and a neighborhood unsettled. On the evening of Saturday, January 15, police were dispatched to the area of 78th and Hickman Mills after a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, they discovered a car that had come to a stop in the front yard of a residence. Inside the vehicle, they found 45-year-old Maurice Bell, a male, who was unresponsive.
