Mortez C. Falkner, aged 32, tragically lost his life on September 8, 2021, in Kansas City, Missouri. Falkner was fatally shot while celebrating his birthday at the Velvet Freeze Daiquiris in the 18th and Vine District. The incident occurred as he was exiting the establishment, and it was later revealed that the suspect, Cleon D. White, had allegedly tracked Falkner through social media posts.
