On May 10, 2020, at approximately 4:22 a.m., Mobile Police responded to a report of a person down near Kooiman Street and Blackmon Street in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, officers discovered 42-year-old Nikil Merrida lying deceased in the street, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
