On the evening of May 26, 2023, Sherief Maurice Treadwell, a 36-year-old Black male known as 'White Boy,' was fatally shot in Trenton, New Jersey. The incident unfolded at approximately 8:42 p.m. when Trenton police were dispatched to the vicinity of Oakland and Hoffman streets following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, officers observed Treadwell's vehicle driving away from the area.

Shortly after, the vehicle lost control and collided with several parked cars near 524 Hoffman Avenue. Inside the car, police found Treadwell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Treadwell was a self-described 'four-star general' of the Trenton Gangsta Killa Bloods sect. His past included encounters with the law, with previous charges for two counts of attempted murder in 2006 and 2014, both of which were later dismissed.

The investigation into the homicide is being handled by the Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with Sherief Treadwell's death, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects. The case remains an active and ongoing investigation, with law enforcement appealing to the public for any information that might lead to a breakthrough.
