In the early morning hours of November 24, 2015, the life of 19-year-old Elvin Kimble, a Black male, was cut short in a violent encounter on the streets of Trenton, New Jersey. The chain of events leading to his death reportedly began with a car burglary. Kimble and another individual were said to have broken into a vehicle belonging to 40-year-old Jermaine Johnson. This act allegedly prompted Johnson to seek retaliation, enlisting the help of 33-year-old Gary Spears.
