On June 28, 2023, at approximately 11:07 p.m., Camden County Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the Ablett Village housing complex in Camden, New Jersey. Upon arrival, they discovered 21-year-old Bryan "BJ" Roberts, originally from Trenton, unresponsive and not breathing. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene.
