Toua Y. Lee, a 36-year-old resident of Joplin, Missouri, tragically lost his life on June 7, 2020, in a shooting incident at the Bites N Pipes Lounge in Joplin. The incident, which also claimed the life of Chong K. Xiong, 30, of Duenweg, Missouri, began as an altercation over the possession of an iPad used to play music. The confrontation escalated, resulting in gunfire that left both Lee and Xiong dead at the scene. A third individual sustained minor injuries and was treated accordingly.
