In Joplin, Missouri, a young man's life was cut tragically short in what was described as a devastating accident. Anthony Neptali Nieto, a 25-year-old male, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016. Born and raised in Joplin, Anthony was a beloved son, brother, and friend with a generous heart and a passion for life. He had dreams of moving to California to design and customize sports cars, and also hoped to design his own video games.
His untimely death was the result of a shooting,
however, authorities did not suspect foul play in the incident. In the wake of the tragedy, no arrests were made and there were no suspects identified in connection with his death. The focus of those who knew him remained on celebrating the vibrant life he lived and the positive impact he had on those around him.
Anthony was remembered for his love of spending time with friends and his brother, whether it was playing dodgeball, video games, or baseball in the park during the summer. He also enjoyed attending music concerts. A compassionate individual, Anthony had chosen to be an organ donor when he received his driver's license, a decision that allowed him to help many others even in his death. He was survived by his mother, siblings, and a large extended family in both the United States and Ecuador.
